Throughout the month of August, Raphael House has been at full capacity! Every available room in our shelter is occupied, which means that our Case Managers have been hard at work supporting our residents find sustainable change and permanent housing.
We’re happy to say that last weekend, one family successfully moved out of Raphael House! We couldn’t imagine a better reason to announce our first vacancy in four weeks.
When families move out of Raphael House, we send them off with apartment kits to ease the transition into their new space. These can include environmentally friendly cleaning products for the house, kitchen, and bathroom, or essentials like sponges, measuring cups, oven mitts, cooking utensils, kitchen towels, and much more. School is back in session! San Francisco students celebrated the start of a new school year, and Raphael House residents and Bridge clients were more than ready.
Our Back-to-School fundraiser was a smashing success! We raised enough money to purchase new backpacks and supplies for 150 students, and even distributed laptops to students in our one-on-one tutoring program. We can’t thank you enough for your support.
