Giving to Raphael House makes a lasting impact on Bay Area families experiencing homelessness: On average, 85% of families exiting our Residential Shelter Program achieve stable housing and financial independence. More than 90% of families engaged in the Bridge Program maintain their long-term housing and financial stability.
Raphael House provides supportive services to help families get into stable housing and achieve financial stability beyond their temporary stay at Raphael House. Services offered include intensive case management, financial education, parental coaching, child tutoring, and educational advocacy—in addition to shelter, food and clothing, and wellness support.
Raphael House is a 100% privately-funded family homeless shelter and relies on its generous donors to meet its entire annual operating budget. This private funding model ensures the parents and children we serve are treated as individuals rather than units of service.

Adopt a Family for the Holidays!
Every year Raphael House invites individuals and business to purchase gifts for homeless and low income families through our Adopt-A-Family Program. Gifts from donors not only provide joy and comfort to our families during the holidays, but they also protect each family’s financial independence. Last year through the generosity of our community, we were able to provide gifts for 524 children and 224 families.
