We are excited to announce the launch of Raphael House’s Executive Leadership Council (ELC), a growing network of community-minded Bay Area professionals and philanthropists interested in advancing Raphael House’s mission, vision, and programs.
Spearheaded by our new Board Chair, Tom Poser, and Executive Director Marc Slater, the ELC and its members will help grow the reach of Raphael House’s programs through their professional experience and connections. “More of our community needs to know what an amazing place Raphael House is and the difference they make in the lives of San Francisco families,” Poser explained. “The ELC will help make that possible.”
ELC members will advance the organization’s mission through engaging in fundraising and volunteer opportunities that support the work of the organization, and provide external perspectives, professional advice, knowledge, and skills to ensure that Raphael House’s work is well-informed, relevant, and ultimately valuable to the community.
“I am honored to be a part of the ELC for Raphael House. As a mother of three, former educator, and Bay Area native I am motivated and inspired by everyone at Raphael House,” said Denise Bailey, ELC member and Chief of Staff at Uplifting Capital. “I truly believe in the power of wraparound services and I feel fortunate to be able to support this work. Raphael House is so much more than a shelter, it is a village.”
In addition to having an immediate impact on the lives of Bay Area families, ELC members benefit from professional networking opportunities with like-minded Bay Area supporters, access to group volunteer activities at Raphael House, and opportunities to learn and share with experts in the field of family homelessness solutions.
