As we begin a new calendar year, Raphael House is grateful to announce a generous $200,000 multiyear contribution from Cigna in support of our programs for families experiencing homelessness. As a private, community-funded organization, the stability that this multiyear contribution will provide is unparalleled and is especially helpful for us to provide uninterrupted assistance to our families.
Cigna will provide $100,000 per year to support our programs in 2023 and 2024. In addition to filling immediate needs for children and parents in our Residential Shelter, this funding will help families rebuild from the trauma of homelessness.
“Each family who enters Raphael House is welcomed into a compassionate, committed community devoted to their long-term success. This investment in Raphael House allows us to serve families with crucial support services while they are in our Residential Shelter, laying the foundation for their long-term stability,” said Raphael House Executive Director, Marc Slater.
With Cigna’s support over the next two calendar years, we aim to serve 65 parents and 85 children with temporary, comforting shelter and three nutritious meals a day through our meal program. We expect 50 parents and 70 children to participate in Family Wellness services, including arts and crafts projects and support sessions that promote stronger relationships.
Thank you for your generosity, Cigna.
