Meet Bianca Beverina, Raphael House’s Bilingual Family Wellness Manager!
She has been with Raphael House for 3.5 years and is inspired by Raphael House’s mission to strengthen family bonds.
“I have seen first hand how healthy family bonds can help individuals heal emotional wounds, grow, and make it through testing times,” she said. “Working in an environment that shares the same beliefs as me is motivating.”
In her role, Bianca works closely with families to help them achieve their unique wellness goals while they heal from the lasting effects of trauma. Through Family Wellness, she is able to provide individualized parenting education and support, education about early childhood development, healthy parenting approaches, wellness coaching, and external clinical referrals to better meet our families’ needs.
She shared, “Family Wellness is important because it has been proven that homelessness and housing instability is heavily associated with the break-up of families. Strong family foundations help to overcome the cycle of homelessness.”
During organized activities like Family Activity, parents have the opportunity to connect with each other, build community, and exchange resources. Similar to Family Activity, the Children’s Evening Program provides a safe space for children to connect with their peers, feel a sense of normalcy, and develop and improve their social emotional skills with support from trained and experienced Family Wellness staff.
“What I love about working at Raphael House is having the ability to make meaningful connections with our families,” Bianca said. “This “closeness” to the community that I serve is something that I believe is unique to Raphael House and something I look forward to everyday. I especially enjoy watching children express themselves through play and art during my Children’s Evening Program, and I am always in awe of their creativity.”
We’re so lucky to have Bianca on our team!Back to Blog
