This October, our team is hard at work making sure your generosity reaches families who need it most.. Raphael House wouldn’t be who we are without the dedication of our case managers and residential staff, who are determined to support Raphael House families.
Over the past few weeks, our case managers have been attending updated trainings on financial literacy in the changing economy, to best provide advice and support to our clients.
Last year, 100% of our residential families received financial literacy services, including a personalized family budget, access to their credit reports, and external referrals for credit counseling services (if needed). 85% of clients in our Career Development Services demonstrated improvement in goal-setting, self-advocacy, and positive self-outlook.
Since 1989, Raphael House’s Adopt-a-Family Program has matched our generous community members with families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Earlier this month, we shared Yolanda’s story from her time at Raphael House. We’ve been overwhelmed with the amount of support for her journey—from navigating family homelessness to working in social services today.
When we asked Yolanda about why our community should support Raphael House, she said: “I strongly would say that the continued support from funders does make an impact because when people know they have the support and the safety net, there’s a goal to get and stay stable. Stable not just in the moment, but for a lifetime afterwards.”
