Katie Kokenge, LCSW

Katie Kokenge specializes in providing mental health treatment and social services to homeless adults with severe and chronic mental illness. Katie operated in the largest county mental health department in the country where she managed subacute facility treatment and reintegration of low-income and mentally ill populations back into the community. In addition, Katie has extensive knowledge of mental health services and the service provider landscape in both inpatient and outpatient settings. As an experienced advocate, Katie has been responsible for protecting clients’ rights in public and private hospitals, in long term care psychiatric facilities, and in contracted community-based programs. Katie excels at crisis intervention and focuses on the provision of psychotherapeutic services.
Earlier in her career, Katie held roles in fashion and publishing at J. Crew and Conde Nast. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from University of Southern California and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. Katie hails from Cincinnati, Ohio and currently resides in San Francisco with her husband and three children.
