We’re happy to announce Yannis Dosios has joined our Board of Directors!

Raised by a very close-knit family in Greece, Yannis was drawn to Raphael House’s focus on family-based solutions to homelessness.

He shared, “I was both inspired by the powerful stories of the impact Raphael House has on families in our community and excited to see that Raphael House was battling family homelessness at its core, seeking to not only alleviate but also sustainably break the cycle of homelessness.”

Currently, Yannis is Vice President of Emerging Businesses at Twitter, responsible for building successful entrepreneurial businesses outside of core advertising. Prior to Twitter, he was Vice President of Platform & Exchange at Yahoo, responsible for all programmatic advertising revenue.

Yannis conveyed that he witnesses almost every day the impact homelessness has on those experiencing it in his San Francisco community. For a long time, he looked for a place where he could help address homelessness, which led him to Raphael House.

Prior to joining Raphael House, Yannis helped his mother grow Elpida, a non-profit organization in Greece that provides social services for families of children with chronic kidney disease. While at Stanford Business School, he was part of the “I Have a Dream” program, mentoring and motivating students in an East Palo Alto high school. He saw first-hand the impact that personal support can have on people believing in themselves and pursuing their dreams.

Yannis brings to Raphael House expertise in strategic planning, scaled operations, and data insights, which he hopes will help accelerate our progress in scaling our services and systemically fighting homelessness.

We are so excited to have Yannis as a member of our Board.

Welcome to the Raphael House family, Yannis!
