Last year, our Board of Directors collectively volunteered 1,920 hours to support Raphael House. Board Member, Program Committee Member, and volunteer Bethany has been volunteering with Raphael House for 4 years.
Bethany is a child neurologist at UCSF and started volunteering at Raphael House in our Children’s Evening Program in 2018. Soon after, Bethany joined our Board and Program Committee to share her unique perspective in providing care to children.
When asked about one her most meaningful experiences at Raphael House, she said “The programs are so meaningful. I will never forget watching a child who was getting upset use behavioral management tools they learned at Raphael House to help themselves relax and rejoin the group activity!”
In celebration of Raphael House’s 50 year anniversary, Bethany says, “Congratulations! The staff work so hard and it shows. Amazing mission, amazing team.”
