Summer is in full swing! Raphael House has been abuzz with excitement—two clients have secured new full-time employment, and several families in our Residential and Bridge Programs are celebrating graduations. We couldn’t be more excited for our clients, and are so grateful to you, our community, for helping them achieve continued success.
We particularly wanted to thank Crankstart for their generous support of Raphael House. They’ve generously granted us an additional $100,000 for our life-changing programs—and we can’t wait to share how deeply their impact is felt across our organization.
For neighbors of Raphael House, you might notice that there’s some activity around our doors… our roof project is underway! Sponsored in whole through a grant from the San Francisco Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, we’re waterproofing our roof—just in time for the next rainy season. Our goal is to make our roof a place where families can spend some time together in the sun. We’re deeply grateful to cultivate our relationship with the City of San Francisco in these coming months.
As the school year ends, we have had so much to celebrate. Our Children’s Services Manager Ralitza Doynova was invited to the high school graduation of one of her students! As a part of our Children’s Services programming, Ralitza provides one-on-one tutoring to students in our Residential & Bridge Programs—to much success! Congratulations! This former Raphael House resident is college-bound, and has a bountiful support system for her continued success.
Families experiencing homelessness often have to prioritize essential costs like rent and groceries, often leaving kids without the right materials for school. At Raphael House, we want to afford students every opportunity possible. That’s why we’re hosting our annual Back-to-School supply drive.
We are 40% of the way to our $10,000 goal! With your donations, we are going to supply 150 students with new backpacks, age-appropriate school supplies, and the confidence to start the new year on the right foot.
Donate to our Back-to-School fund!
