January at Raphael House has been off to a great start! Right at the beginning of the month one of our families successfully moved to stable housing and left our staff with a heartwarming note:
“Thank you so much for all your help and support!!! You all did an excellent job attending to our needs and supporting us [becoming] emotionally and physically stable to have our own place. We love you and keep it up!”
Our staff is always so heartened to hear from our families, and we hope you’ll join us in wishing them well in their new home!
Earlier this week, we shared some exciting news. Raphael House is proud to announce that it has received a transformative $4.2 million grant from the San Francisco Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing to improve its facilities and expand its capacity to help more families. Over the next two years, this grant will not only help Raphael House continue serving families but also expand its reach and capacity to help more families, increasing Raphael House’s capacity by eight rooms to serve 50% more families beginning in summer 2026.
The $4.2M contract from the City department of Homelessness & Supportive Housing is a powerful vote of confidence in Raphael House and accelerates our growth by several years. But government funding is targeted and time-bound. Private philanthropy ensures we can sustain expanded capacity, protect program quality, and continue the long-term, relationship-based work that helps families stay housed. Make your gift today to help us fully seize this new momentum!
