This February has been filled with delight at Raphael House. Not one, but two(!) clients have secured employment in our Career Development Services program! To celebrate, Raphael House is supporting both of these clients with some new workwear to sport at their new jobs.
We additionally wanted to thank some radiant volunteers, who tag-teamed our Valentine’s Day care packages for Residential families. Thanks to Aruna Mehra Light and Gala Co-Chairs Britt Wenzler Oglesby and Cheryl Sanclemente Zierten, pairs of mother-son volunteers assembled goodie bags for clients. These goodie bags were then placed in decorative boxes, made by mother-daughter pairs brought in by ELC member Laura Larsen.
This month, our Executive Leadership Council brought together some close friends of Raphael House in our Library for a panel discussion to discuss all the new developments from our exciting new contract. Our Development Manager Meagan moderated a conversation between our Director of Operations Melissa, our Director of Family Services Elisa, our Executive Director Tina, and a very special guest—former Raphael House resident Yolanda, who shared her story with our community last year. We’re excited to say that Yolanda will be joining us as our keynote speaker at this year’s gala, and invite you to hear her tell her family’s powerful, full-circle story.
