Karl is a distinguished global business leader with a proven track record in driving customer-focused results and transforming companies, including startups, international joint ventures, acquisitions, and integrations. In his most recent position, Karl was Chief Operating Officer at the Bank of the West, BNP Paribas / BMO, where he directed information technology, customer operations, risk operations, cyber and physical security, strategic sourcing, corporate real estate, enterprise portfolio delivery and transformation. Prior to that, Karl held multiple senior executive roles in Operations and Digital transformation at Capital One across all three lines of business during its journey of transforming from a mono-line credit card company into a full-fledged bank. Earlier, Karl held multiple progressively responsible management and engineering positions at Motorola, Inc., including Business Manager at White Oak Semiconductor, General Manager of the Energy Products Division in China, Operations Manager of Industrial Electronics Division in England, and Product Manager of the Automotive Electronics Division in Italy. Most importantly, Karl is the loving husband to Jeana and father to Scott and Katy. When not hard at work, you can find him on biking and hiking trails in Marin.
