Happy Back-to-School season! At Raphael House, we’re so grateful for your support in making this a smooth (and exciting!) transition for our families. With your donations, we had over 150 students sign up for our Back-to-School supply drive, and had a wildly successful pick-up day (pictured below). A huge thank you to volunteers from Calvary Presbyterian Church of San Francisco and to Dodge & Cox for their generosity!
Our first families have started moving into the newly renovated third floor of Raphael House! A few months ago, we shared news about undergoing capital repairs and expanding our capacity. We are soon going to house 24 families, which is 50% more than our previous maximum of 16!
We can’t wait to keep you updated on the progress. Stay tuned via our Instagram and LinkedIn pages!
We are so excited to join a viewing of “Beyond the Bridge,” in partnership with United Way Bay Area, the San Francisco Bar Association, and A Bigger Vision Films!
You will not want to miss this film screening on September 14th! Filmmakers, Tim Hashko and Don Sawyer, will deliver commentary and remarks to kick off our panel discussions featuring:
- Margot Kushel, UCSF BHHI
- Ora Prochovnick, Eviction Defense Collaborative
- Whit Guerrero, SF Homelessness Oversight Commission
- Kulvindar Rani Singh, SF Sheriff’s Dept
- Laura Hall, DISH -Delivering Innovation in Supportive Housing
Join us for an evening of community!
