Dan Parsons and his friends Peter Reiseman, Alex Zekoff, and Parker Mills were looking for a way to make an impact in their community. Seeing the extent of the homeless crisis in San Francisco, they wanted to find a local charity that helps alleviate family homelessness. After a quick Google search and learning more about the services we offer to families experiencing homelessness, they knew they wanted to support our mission.

Through their DJ collectives Juxtapop and Give N Groove—which host events centered around dance music and charity—they threw a party at 111 Minna Gallery in August, with 100% of the proceeds going to Raphael House! The event was dubbed The Officially Unofficial Outside Lands After Party.

“Homelessness is a big problem in San Francisco, so helping get kids off the streets and families into more stable living conditions can have major impact on reducing homelessness over time,” Dan says.

The event was a great success, he says, with over 150 attendees with awesome live DJs, dancers, and local vendors. The DJ lineup included Austen Jones, Christina T, Parker Mills, ZUUGEN, and Rolls Reise.

Juxtapop and Give N Groove raised $1,282, all of which helps Raphael House provide supportive services to parents and children experiencing homelessness.

“We really appreciate Raphael House’s partnership and everything they do for the community,” Dan says.

Thank you to Juxtapop and Give N Groove for their generous support and donation. Because of their contributions, Raphael House can continue to help families get into stable housing and escape homelessness.
