Since 1989, Raphael House’s Adopt-a-Family Program has matched our generous community members with families who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This annual tradition brings holiday warmth and joy to families in need.
There are three ways to participate in Adopt-a-Family this year:
1. Spread Joy with E-Gift Cards (Due Dec 6): Give families the gift of choice this holiday season! E-gift cards allow families to select the perfect presents. This year, 90% of the participating families are in our Bridge program and will receive gift cards, instead of physical gifts. We strongly encourage donors to provide electronic (email) gift cards, as they are the must secure and efficient way of passing them along to families.
Give E-Gift Cards!2. Share the Holiday Spirit with Physical Gifts (Sign-Up Closed): We’ll pair you with a family in need and share their wish list. You purchase the gifts and drop them off with us unwrapped on December 6th. We’ll provide the family with both the gifts and wrapping supplies, and they’ll pick everything up in mid-December. Note: Physical gifts are now closed—all families who can accept them have been matched with donors.
Give Physical Gifts!3. Express Fund Donation – Holiday Cheer Made Easy: We understand the holidays are a busy time, so leave the shopping to us! Your donations will support our Express Adopt-a-Family campaign, and may also be applied to supporting Raphael House programs and operations that provide shelter and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness.
