Raphael House Residential Community Internship

Raphael House

Our Residential Community Internship Program provides an opportunity for students and adult professionals from various faith backgrounds to participate in directly serving homeless and low-income families. By partnering with students and adult professionals from faith committees that are dedicated to issues of social justice and empowerment of those living in poverty, everyone benefits: the families that we serve, the congregations that we partner with, and our community at large.

A residential intern may be placed in any of the following programs

Residential Program: Serving families living in the shelter program with day-to-day activities, acclimating to living in a community, conflict resolution, and life skills.

Case Management Assistant: Working with families both in the AfterCare and Residential Programs towards independence and long-term stability. Includes client interviews, advocacy calls and community referrals.

Children’s Program: Providing enriching and educational opportunities to children, such as one on one tutoring, art activities, and community outings.

Development: Assist with the fundraising aspects that allows Raphael House to serve families experiencing homelessness.
