Family Services
Within the first week of arrival, families meet with their caseworker and begin to develop a long term plan to gain housing and employment as well as address the specific issues that are preventing a family from achieving stable housing. Parents agree to receive credit counseling so any outstanding financial issues can be addressed. Families also work with a case manager to develop an employment or education plan so they can receive the necessary tools to regain control of their future.
Each family who participates in the Residential Shelter Program receives the guidance of our entire case planning team, including an advocate from our Children’s Program who works directly with the parents to ensure that children are receiving emotional, academic and social nourishment.
